I find it sad that certain individuals assume the tool makes the terrorist and not vice-versa.
Of course, you were probably getting tighter groups with your AK than said fudd was getting with his uber tactical deer rifle setup judging from the fudds I've seen around here. |

I was very pleased today. I saw more AR, AK, Mosin Nagant, FAL, etc. Than I have ever seen at the range. A few guys were trying out their first "EBR". This is VERY good! I helped out a couple of folks and generally had a great day at the range. One issue was a bit scary though. A fellow was trying for a while to chamber a round in an Armalite AR. When I saw him straightening out a piece of wire I asked if he would like to use a cleaning rod, he said ok. When we assembled it, he proceeded to push out a bullet from the chamber. It had burned residue on the back side, as if a round with no powder had been fired and the primer had unseated the bullet just into the lands, so it came out easily. Thank GOD it wasn't just a little deeper, or a KaBoom would have resulted. He said his son was using it last, with his reloads.... It functioned perfectly after removing the obstruction. Be careful handloading, guys! |

If you were acting like a dirt shooting retard that's one thing. But if you were using the sights & hitting the target then he's just a typical Fudd faggot. If it's not some overpowered boltgun with a Hubble sized variable scope that you use to blast Bambi point blank from a baited treestand ambush then it's useless, don't you know. The fact that one mag for your AK holds more rounds than he'll fire in 5+ years of sighting in & hunting must mean you're some kind of psycho. |

Most ranges I go to are at least EBR tolerant. Generally no one will say anything if you know how to shoot. Start in with the bumpfiring, that's when people will say something. (PM me with the range, if you don't mind.) |

Yep. a tacked thread to clarify the actual definition would save a lot of hurt feelers of people who go out of their way to take offense, where absolutely NONE is meant. I will add that we do need to be very careful not to offend folks who simply don't own or "like" using EBR's. As long as they respect my right to own them, they're cool with me. I hear guys on this site speak about guys at the range with "FUDD" guns, in a negative way. That's pretty much how actual FUDDS speak about EBR owners. It really does work both ways, IMO. |

 I use to hate having to shoot at the ranges up in Washington. I'd take a day off and pay my $8 or $10 to sit out of the rain and shoot. There'd be three or four retired guys there shooting handloads out of carved walnut ammo blocks one round every half an hour. I'd bring my ghetto AR and shoot hundreds of rounds an hour putting them into one little ragged hole using iron sites. Normally the old folk don't like the brass raining down on them so I try to grab the far right side lane. |

The range I go to only allows one round at time for centerfire rifles, which is a pain in the ass for an AK with no bolt hold open. But it is five minutes away and I know all the range masters pretty well, so I don't really mind putting up with it. I was just sitting there shooting bench at 100 yards one round at a time. |
