Maybe just my imagination...  but with this jungle-like heat and humidity lately...  I keep seeing these huge bizzare insects.

This sucker has been hanging out on our front window at work all afternoon. Probably a good 4-5" of wingspan.
Are they moving North from the Amazon or something ?

I'm in SE PA BTW.

Closest thing I've seen to that is a Royal Walnut Moth, but I don't think that is one and upon review of the link above, concur that it is an Imperial Moth.

Don't know what kind of moth that is, but we also have seen humungous Japanese beetles this year. I'm talking the size of bumblebees.
