Got mine from Dog Soldiers, I freaking love that movie!!!!!
Ive been rotating mine for several years now.
I pay homage to something or someone that I think is witty. |
Jesse Davila, KIA via car bomb in Baghdad Feb. 20th 2006
The other is obvious |
there is a copy on my entertainment center, you mean the one about werewolves right? both of mine are self explanatory |
self explanatory... Its from the Bible..But it has more meaning for Navy Medics..Read it Marines!
PO2 Luke Milam Luke was awarded the Purple Heart from a wound suffered in Iraq; the Bronze Star; two Combat Action ribbons; two Good Conduct Medals; two Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medals; the National Defense Service Medal; the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal; and two Sea Service Deployment Ribbons. |
Yep that movie is full of quotes. |
The quote is from some guy named James Neil Hollingworth aka Ambrose Redmoon.
Apparently a hippie, but the quote is excellent -- in my opinion.... |
Half came from an e-mail with assorted quotes. I thought it especially fitting with all the dog lovn', cat haten', women haten' Heinlein fans around here.
Other half is just a rememberance of the strong will of our departed friend. |
sounds like Cus D'Amato "The hero and the coward both feel the same thing, but the hero uses his fear, projects it onto his opponent, while the coward runs. It's the same thing, fear, but it's what you do with it that matters." "Heroes and cowards feel exactly the same fear. Heroes just react to it differently." |
I rotate mine about once a month to quote another ARFcommer's witticisms. I especially liked the one about applying 10000 grams of Solzhenitsyn to the head daily to know what it is really like to live in a commie state. |
I cite my sources.
ETA: It's kind of an answer to some of the attitudes I see around here. |
mine means "never forget" in latin, referring to the 35 people we lost in iraq last year.
Like others, an ARFCOMMER's witticism or two.
Plus free advertising for companies with which I have had great experience. |
Fred thompson
Abba Eban (although his name got chopped off somehow). |
yup |
+1 But I haven't changed mine in a while... |
Some old people in Philadelphia, commonly attributed to Ben Franklin.
1) First line in Metallica's "Wherever I May Roam "
2) "Percussa Resurgo" is on our family's crest( in my avatar) and means "When struck down , I rise again". 3) The last quote is Heller's . |
Shit. I don't even remember what mine is.
Edit: From Caligula. Back when I was a supervisor at my old job, people who understood it said it fit. |
