If they operated like other revolvers, they couldn't be suppressed. They are actually perfect for that purpose.

The ballistics of that round are terrible to begin with - can't imagine how much more anemic they are now.
Oh well - I'm sure it works well enough for executing political dissidents.

Yes, I actually own one.
As a combat revolver they are pretty useless, but it's the perfect revolver design for using a suppressor.

Awesome! I saw another one of his videos, and it looks like he doesn't like buying subsonic ammo or something.

Because of the way the cylinder seals to the chamber right?

Yeah, they suck. Their cartridge sucks, their loading sucks, their unloading REALLY sucks, and their build quality sucks. They are a big pile of unmitigated donkey-ball suck. Unless you suppress it. Then it's only a little cool because revolvers are hard to suppress. Nah, they suck.

It's the perfect assassin weapon, no cases to look for and uber quiet.

Yep, that was a Knight's Armament creation.

That is pretty cool - .44 something IIRC.
Did it also appear in an X-Files episode?

I only found a vague reference to it once, but I swear I saw a show on the discovery channel 10 or so years ago (I was still living with my parents at the time) about spying/cia/etc and they had a suppressed revolver (and it wasn't a nagant) on the show. I think it was a .38

I remember this because both me and my dad said at the same time "that can't work too well since the gas can escape from the front of the cylinder"

although considering there is gas that comes out of the barrel there probably is some quieting resulting from a suppressor on a revolver, maybe enough to not immediately be thought of as a gun shot?

If I already had a 9mm can and $75 to blow on threading, I'd give it some thought just for shits and giggles.  If anything, its pretty damn quiet.

Okay. I ordered a Nagant revolver from AIM for $80.

I already have a YHM Wraith 9mm suppressor.

So all I need now is someone to move the sight back a bit and thread the barrel 1/2x28 for me.  Any suggestions?

ADCO seems able to put a thread on just about anything.

Oh good.  I have used them in the past for AR stuff and was hoping they would do this too. I will have to give them a buzz and see the details.
