Salvia tea is an old home remedy for hyperactive kids my grandmother told me about. It's been used for that for at least 100 years in South Texas.

tried it, irritated the hell out of my throat, increased my heart rate (heavy smoke inhalation probably did that) and I felt a little "different" but thats it.
If you really wanna get legally high, you'd be better off with whippits

I have never used it. But I did watch two guys do it in Amsterdam.
 I wouldn't recommend you try it unless you try it at home. It's not pretty.

Its not that bad. You gotta ingest alot of the leaves to get an effect. Or get the extracts. Stay away from 15x extract til you've done it, and have seen how you react.
It made my body feel hot, in addition to the "trip." It lasts less than 15 minutes. Make sure you are sittin down, or you could fall onto a coffee table or something, since your perceptions will be skewed. Oh, is it necessary to say, "do it at home?" No ill after effects or hangover. Give it a go, it was odd to say the least. |

Its unlike anything you can ever experience.
Its a hallucinogenic, so people think its like LSD where you know you're tripping but you're still in your own mind and you can talk and explain the visual effects with your buddy next to you.... Salvia will rock your world. At higher doses, you are no longer you. There is no talking to your buddy about what you see and how you feel. I have.. uh heard from a friend that when he did it, the world literally "unfolded" from a 3D existence into a one dimensional plane. Another time, my friend became a metal fence post. Even though the trip from the salvia lasted only 10 minutes or so, he lived a life time as this inanimate object. This is quite common from what I've read - people report becoming a piece of plastic or becoming a chair or floor. I know, it sounds crazy. Salvia can be scary shit. |

A friend of mine who is an expert on legal mind-altering substances strongly advised me to stay away from Salvia divinorum.

How about some Ayahuasca?
That way instead of buying Salvia on the internet and it only lasting several minutes you can travel to the Amazon for Ayahuasca and be lost in your mind for hours, but only after you vomit and shit yourself dry. On second thought, go with the Salvia. Just know what you're getting into. There are probably forums on how to set up an environment that will increase the chances of creating an enjoyable experience. Wouldn't want this to happen... Salvia trip to hell |

A friend of mine did it twice, and had some interesting experiences. The first time, he perceived that his bed had become a greenhouse full of pulsating green vines, and he was a child. There was a woman calling him inside. The second time, his computer monitor became a doorway in to a strange hospital, floating in a void, with an orderly standing in it.

I'm sure most of arfcom will look down on me as a stupid hippy, but from my youthful experiences, I can see some therapeutic use of hallucinogens. It can separate you from your own ego enough that you can look at your life in a very sober fashion. It allows you to drop the baggage of your past and see yourself as you see others. Lasts 15-20 mins, completely different experience from pot. I've watched someone on it, claimed it was more of a hallucinogen than anything else. Powerful, disorienting, but short.
