my wife was trying to answer a trivia question and asked me wht the D in d day stood for. I have had a complete brain fart and can't remember to save my life. I tried several web sites and none of them mention it.

Anyone know the real answer?

You use D, H and L in your planning.  That way when you write the plan you can use have an arbitrary start day, hour or landing time.

That way you can fill in the actual time later.
