I just bought a pre-ban Oly with an A1 upper and triangle hanguards. It's in extremely clean condition, forged lower, already comfirmed pre-ban status with Oly. Also comes with 3 GI 30 rounders and a bayonet. Price was $900.  Is this as good a deal as I think it is?

Good deal. I have seen just plain preban lowers go for $500.00 - $850.00 depending on manufacturer. I haven't seen any prebans go for less than $1000.00 lately. Most postbans go for $600.00 or more depending on what you want.

That's not too shabby of a deal. A few months ago I came across a virtually like new preban Colt R6830 Sporter Lightweight in 7.62x39 with only the sling and 1 5 round mag. When I saw it was only $900, I couldn't get the checkbook out fast enough. The deals are out there if you arm yourself with knowledge, keep your eyes open, and are ready to seize an opportunity when it presents itself.
