Gateway MX7120.
Just bought a stick of 1gig PC2700 from Staples that was on sale.
Computer has 512k onboard memory with an expansion slot for an additional amount of memory. I have been running a 512k stick in the slot, but bought a 1 gig to replace it with.
Computer specs state it can handle up to a 1 gig stick max. Which is where I'm at.
Seems when I get a lot of firefox tabs open or multiple applications I get the blue screen of death with a page fault error or other error. I then have to power it down, and do a cold reboot.
I thought the memory stick may have been bad, exchanged it for another one and still the same thing.
Is there something that I missed here?
