I flipped the A/C on in the house at 4PM and since then it feels like it has gotten warmer.
OH WHY DID WE NOT LISTEN TO AL GORE WHEN WE HAD THE CHANCE???

There is a change in climate that is undeniable. the polar melt of the NW passage, collapsing ice shelfs in Antarctica is evidence. This stuff doesnt happen unless there is a large change. The argument seems to be if it is human related or natural climate change of the earth. But understand a global increase in average temps does not mean it will get warmer across the board for all of us. The temp change will effect ocean currents, the jet strean, etc. So people in areas that are usually warm all year long might see snow and just the opposite. here where I live the winters have been getting milder for the last 8-10 years.
There is global warming I believe that but I have no idea what is causing it.. |

Don't forget that Antarctica has more ice than ever and is growing as the arctic is melting. Weird as hell, but it's not "warming" at the south pole at all. That's why they backed off the "global warming" label and have rallied around "global climate shift" instead. It's not getting hotter - it's getting weirder and less predictable, and hot/cold are shifting around. I think it's El Nino and La Nina at fault (mostly due to volcanic activity). When they started mentioning them in climate reports in the early 90s was when weather started getting all weird around here (blizzard of 93, warm winters, cool summers, 20-degree temp shifts in one day, etc.). |

I went to bed last night and the house was 72, I dropped it to 70 for the night, but when I woke up this morning it was 74! Now my AC compressor won't turn, it's going to be in the mid 90s for the next week, and the soonest I can get the unit looked at will be Thursday. Damn it, why didn't I listen to Al Gore. I could be cool right now instead of covered in sweat and suffering!!!!! |
