Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - I NEED HELP IDENTIFING THIS VIETNAM MEDAL....

I need help in identifing this vietnam medal...It has airborne screeming eagles logo with PHU BAI rsv, headquarters base attached to the case.

The medal is a red/whitelu/blue ribbon attached to a gold star with a silver star in the middle.  On back it reads"for gallantry in action"  above it is a purple and white ribbon and a red /white /blue ribbon above that.

No pictures yet.......Any infomation would be helpful.

Yep its a Silver Star



Sounds like it has the smaller ribbon attached to it as well as  a purple heart one.
