Where is everyone located and how is the weather?  Have you turned on the AC yet this season?

I did for the first time as it's horrible around here (I hate the heat) and getting into the 90's tomorrow.

I live in New Mexico.

I am in Albuquerque right now and it has been getting in to the high 90's.

Do you have a swamp cooler or refrigerated air?

ETA: I never turn of my AC.

It's 91 here today (only because it's cloudy) and humid as a motherfucker - basically you'd be insane to wear anything besides shorts and a short-sleeve shirt.

A/C has been on since April.

A/C has been going for a few weeks now. Its only 80 here right now but it's supposed to be 98 tomorrow. In a few more weeks it wont hit less than 100 until about 4am.

Sounds like some of you have some hefty energy bills, that's one of the reasons I like having Spring and Fall here, no need for heat or AC so it's nice to have a cheap gas and electric bill for a few months anyway.

Dude it 94 and like 80% humidity in S. IN.

I'm not going outside unless I have to.

The AC is working overtime.

It's only gotten warm here this week, so much for global warming in MI anyway, it's been seasonably cool.

Have the temps been normal in your neck of the woods?

So, it's cooled of a little?

Whenever the humidity gets below 400% I start getting chapped lips from the dry air.

I think I had the A/C off for a couple of hours back in February.

I have often envied the southern climes for their lack of heating bills in the winter, and the northern ones for lack of cooling in the summer.  I do enjoy all 4 seasons though, and moderate temps in spring and fall is one of the best things about being in the middle.

Today it was 98 degrees.

We run the A/C at 72 from 10pm-7am. Our last energy bill was $60.45 for a 2 bed 2 bath apartment using this system. Its usually not hot during the day inside because we have very good insulation.

Wow, that is amazing, sounds like a really efficient system.

In the heat of the summer, my AC runs non-stop and the bill usually ends up being around 200.xx or so.  Usually it's only a month or two that it's that high.  We've had the "unit" checked out and it's doing what it's supposed to but it's older.  1100sq ft house here.

where i am at it is 0240am on the 6th of June.  The temp outside right now is 94 degrees.  Yesterdays high was 117 degrees.  Thankfully I am one of the lucky ones who gets to work the night shift.

The A/C in the shop is set at 72 degrees currently.

Think about this though...

The guy living in Maine might feel blistering hot above 70. But he might do better than you or me down at -10...

As much as those of us in the Southern parts of the world like to poke fun at people who "Can't take the heat", throw us (me anyway) in 0 degree weather and I just wanna ball up, drink coffee, and die.

I don't mind the heat if I'm working or if I'm out on the boat etc.  If I'm in the house trying to relax and stay cool, I don't like sweating.

Mine is at 72 (at night, 74 during the day) thank you very much.

Think about this though - we all like A/C and hate the heat, but it's not like we bitch it about it. When you live in the south - you're used to high humidity and hot summers.

I had a guy come out from San Diego last summer and EVERY day he complained about the humidity ("it feels like a FUCKING Sauna, dude!") and I realized that I'm just used to it cause I've lived here all my life.

It's not that I need A/C, but I like it. Just like I don't need guns...but....
