In addition to that type I have a couple of those "shake it charge it" types too in case there is nothing to recharge with..........

dealextreme.com for the win. better and cheaper lights than anythng walmart stocks.
the LEDs have great runtime and for the price. |

It needs to take Lithium batteries for the great shelf life and be an LED for durability.

Rayovac flashlights. I can't find them on the website to post a picture, but they're metal, single LED, dark blue in color. They're about $20, VERY bright, and good color. Not too blue or green, nice white color. Also, you can take the front off and have a great lamp with equal spread over a full hemisphere. They have them in 1 and 3 watt. The 3 watt is noticably brighter than the 1, but the 1 is still the brightest flashlight I've ever had except for the 3. They are by far the best flashlights I've ever bought.
