I need help removing aluminum oxide coating from aluminum dust. What is the most effective way of doing so? I have tried to do it with an 80/10/5/5 % by volume solution of phosphoric acid, water, acetic acid and nitric acid without success (lots of exothermic activity, bubbling and expanding blob, red phosphous gas.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Good luck - as soon as you expose bare metal, a fresh layer of oxide will start forming.
