I don't understand the comparison to defecating in public. Other than being "natural," how are excreting waste and providing a child with nourishment even remotely the same?

It usually catches me off guard when some chick pops out a titty in the middle of a resturant and sticks it in a kids mouth in front of me.... but I can't say I've ever been offended by it!

I say every woman with a nice set of boobs should be allowed to pop 'em out and stick one in someone's mouth from now on.... you know, for the children!

I seem to be a magnet to breast feeding moms. I have absolutely no problem with it as long as it's discreet. Not worried about offending delicate sensibilities, but I am worried about exciting or enticing the unbalanced. There's plenty of whack jobs out there who would, can and do take offense to a woman's breast and the reactions range from creepy to downright scary.

It's in their season 5 dvd set. YOU REALLY NEED TO PICK IT UP AND WATCH IT!!!!!!!!

I don't have a problem with doing it in public, but I do like the idea of trying to maintain some modicum of modesty and maybe draping a blanket over themselves.

FWIW I never could do it. I'm not one to just whip 'em out in public like that. I'm too shy.

They can have at it.

Babies need to eat, and at fairly frequent intervals. Having a new baby is enough of an upheaval in the life of the new mother, that I think it's completely unreasonable to ask them to stay at home for 6-12 months nursing... that's just silly. If they're out in the public doing some grocery shopping, and the baby gets hungry, then by all means feed 'em. It's also reasonable to ask the mother to be discrete... but even if they're not, don't be a leering oaf about it.

Consider the alternative. Would you rather stand in line at the cash register in front of an anxious mother/famished newborn, listening to the latter scream at the top of his lungs?

That's what I thought.

My wife breast fed all 3 of my boys. She didnt do it to show off her tits to some jackass with a beavis and butthead mentality. Nor did she do it to offend the prudes.

She did it because that is what God designed boobs for. Its healthier than formula, and its a hell of a lot cheaper. My twins would go through a $15 can of formula in few days. We could stretch that out to every two weeks since she breast fed.

I have my first children (twins) on the way. I plan to breast-feed, but I can't imagine doing so in public... I think I'd take it along in a bottle. Personally, I see breastfeeding as a time to bond with my children, and I don't think I'd very well accomplish that with all kinds of prudes and creeps staring at me.

How is one type of nudity different from another?

If males/females want to go sunbathe or whatever and it is not overly sexual I don't care.

In all seriousness. Good luck with that. Your milk volume will be higher due to the demand.

It was way more difficult (for my wife) to breastfeed twins than it was with or oldest son. We tandom fed them when they were small, but once they got big enough we could not do that anymore. She would feed one, then the next, and only have about 45 minutes of sleep until the first one wanted to be fed again.

The first 8 months was really no fun for us. (the kids were fun, but not the amount of lost sleep). hit me up if you have any questions about twins. I am in my 14th month and its about as easy as a single child.

Two of my friend's kids would not take a bottle so she had to breast feed at all times. It's natural and not a problem in my book. Why should parents hide the fact that they are taking care of their children. Public restrooms aren't sanitary or comfortable places to feed a child.

I was actually being funny...But think about it...Boobs are everywhere---Like on movies and stuff--You never see the penis...But that is society I guess..

FWIW I never could do it. I'm not one to just whip 'em out in public like that. I'm too shy.

I tried the blanket, it lasted one month....both the boys were too long and hated any blankets covering them! I just ended up wearing vests or jackets a lot, and sitting in "out of the way" places. I had to wean my oldest, though, at six months, because he was the size of an 18 month old! Too big for my lap!

I'd very be surprised if most states don't allow a mother to discretely breast-feed their baby in public. If it's not already legal where you live, rest assured... the La Leche League is working on it.
