Modern "environmentalism" (i.e., the "green movement") is about CONTROL, big government control.  The anti-capitalist radicalization of the movement was financed and, to a degree, directed by Soviet communists.  This has been admitted openly by several very high-ranking former Soviet officials.

Environmentalists actually do more harm to the environment than good, but since liberals control the media, they are able to spin the truth to put themselves in a better light.

Is it any surprise that Al Gore stands to make hundreds of millions (or more) with his completely bogus "carbon credits" company?  And doing so by manipulating weak-minded people into thinking that paying him will assuage their guilt when they use fossil fuels?

That people don't get this is amazing to me.

I think I'm going to start an organization to sell "blue jean credits."  I'll tell everyone how bad it is on society to wear jeans, and that if they must wear them, they can buy "jean offsets" from my company so that they don't have to feel so bad.

Hmmm.....
