we were talking and he was lamming bush. he was pro-gore. he liked rage against.. all those activist guys, he had the big hair afro, (white guy) he thought he could change the world by speaking out, and protesting, you know the type...

his argument against bush was that 1 out of every 3 black guys is involved in the criminal system in some way.
i look at hima dn say "whose fault is that?" (the black guys)
he says "bush, he's racist and discriminates against them cause he doesn't like them."  
me "that's stupid, he's not, and even if he was important people would notice and remove him, besides that clinton guy had the exact same average, and at least he can manage to keep his dick out of interns, you stupid loser."
he went on and on about it. he's anti gun, anti-4wheelin, anti-military, anti fun(all that above is fun)

he's not a hippy, just one of these suburban white kids that thinks he's black and tries to feel the pain of his people. he knows a lot about current events i'll give hime that. on the other hand i don't give a f*ck what's going on in some 3rd (or 4th) world country.

The flaw with that argument is the lack of background.  Bush has only been in office a year... and he's been a little too preoccupied with overseas affairs to personally launch the "I want to incarcerate all black men" campaign. ::heavy sarcasm::

Ask your friend how many black men had criminal records PRIOR to Bush being elected and compare that to now.  I would be surprised if the numbers vary at all.

Oh... and if he's "anti" all that is legally fun, ask him how much "fun" he has with illegal drugs i.e. pot.  [i]Just a hunch...[/i] [rolleyes]

It's always difficult to reason with people if they begin with a premise that is anti everything.  A number of years ago I way shooting at a local sand pit and had a very strange encounter with a PRC type.  He was a Harvard grad who made no bones about telling me how ignorant I was, both mentally and spiritually.  Did not matter that I had a masters from one of the better schools in NE.  He got quite upset that I was shooting near trees.  He warned me not to hit one with a bullet as they would feel the pain.  So off he went, literally talking to the trees. However, I had to admire his earnest desire to protect and nurture nature.  It was his utter contempt for anything human that made me think this poor guy is so confused.  Before I left, and knowing I was alone, I took notice of a rather large Elm that seemed to be out of place there. It overlooked the whole area where I was shooting.  I approached the tree and just studied it for a minute.  Got out my Mini and pumped 30 rounds into the base.  Never leave a witness behind is my motto.  

Ask him to examine the amount and percentages of criminals in the federal prison system during President Clinton's administration broken down by race and then compare it to the Sr. Mr. Bush.  Now tell me again, who's the racist?  Ask him when was the last time you saw a Black Secretary of State or National Security Advisor.  I pray that the first female/black president is Condoleezza Rice and not someone like Hillary.

It seems that the misguided moron you spoke with suffers from a good case of ignorance.  The sad part is that no matter what he'll probably choose to stay that way.

Of course, I have always had the highest regard for women in general, and specifically those who are armed.  What I did was indeed quite childlike and something to be regretted.  I am not someone to shy away from getting what I most certainly deserve.  I was not just a bad boy, I was a very bad boy. Needless to say, I demand, nay, implore, I be taught a lesson with extreme enthusiasm.  If this is not done quickly, the temptation to continue this anti-animistic behavior shall rise up within me.  Please make good your word.  If not for our mutual growth, then for "mother" nature.

It may strike you as humorous,  I did indeed hit a knot in said Elm tree. Poetic justice had the last word.  As the great spirit in the sky would have it, the tree fell on my head.  The blow was so severe as to cause a complete loss of male function  (if you know what I mean). In addition,  the few IQ points I had were reduced by no small amount.  However, through this sad flow of events, I have been offered a position chairing the Texas state chapter of MENSA.  It will be nice to be home again.  I went to college and was married in the Dallas area.  All of my out-laws still live in that great state.

Yup, grew up in West Cambridge. Left when I was 23 because of my job.  I tend to be confrontational with those types of people. Rarely (when I feel intellectually armed re: the topic at hand), if ever, shy away from a debate. Needless to say, being the anti-liberal, I did alot of debating in high school (CRLS for all you homeboys).  Leaving Cambridge did wonders for my blood pressure.  I hate bleeding heart liberals; they make me physically ill.
