I just got this email about a couple of Rock River lowers I had posted for sale on the Equipment Exchange...

Sir,
I am a police officer in Ohio.
I am interested in buying a lower and have heard good things about Rock River.
If you can ship directly to me  for the $116 I would like to get one.I don't have a FFL nor do I have a holder that I deal with.
thanks,

Is there a full moon or what?

Fine example of LEO not haveing a clue about the LAW they are sworn to uphold.

Sounds like one of the guys that ONESHOT had a run in with.

Actually, unless things have changed recently, the GCA of 68 lets LEO’s purchase firearms through the mail.  (I know, I know – it just isn’t fair.)  I’ve seen this done numerous times, generally to save money.

In brief, the LEO has to submit a letter from his chief stating the firearm will be used in the performance of official duties.  I don’t know if the seller has to have a FFL or not.

Granted, this LEO may not have been looking to do this as described above.

Maybe a law enforcement agency can purchase arms directly through the mail, but I don't think that individual officers are specifically exempted.

LOL!  I coughed out the mushroom I choked on yesterday.  That's right, Ulysse_Nardin_1846 almost got taken out by a mushroom yesterday.  Time was slowing down, everything was quiet, I was losing air, air, air.

Dear Mr. Shaggy,

I'm in search of a fully automatic American 180.

I am a licensed fully automatic weapon dealer

No, really I am.

Please send me the fully automatic American 180, and the invoice and I'll bounc...oops I mean send you a check.
