I have a WW2 Luftwaffe helmet & an M1 Garand bayonet that I'd like to sell. Any suggestions on how I can figure out what they're worth?

Need detailed pics of the helmet. A genuine, unaltered Luftwaffe helmet could bring some long green.

Edit;

Back in 91, I sold a single decal M42 with original Normandy camo paint scheme, in excellent condition for $250.00. The buyer didn't hesitate so, it was probably worth a little more. I paid 15 bucks for it at a yard sale.

M1 long bayo in original excellent condition would bring good bucks too. Rare models in excellent condition, $3-$400

OK - here are the pics of the helmet (lots of bare metal, but no rust that I could see):

bayonet is a cut down and it's been sharpened.  maybe $60-100

The ones that were made at that length are worth more, an uncut 16" is really nice to have.

good luck on the sale

"Luftschutz" is not Luftwaffe, but rather Luftschutzwarndienst (civil defense). It's a civilian helmet for use during air raids. Pretty common.

Thanks for the clarification.

meh, looks pretty cheap to me. Probably a knockoff. I'll give yah $0.50 cents for it to take it off your hands.
J/K. Looks pretty neat. I'd keep it if it were me.

It's original. They were pretty cheap/inferior to begin with. The good metal went to protect the soldiers' heads.

"Civilians? Bah- who cares? Let them eat rubble."

I think I saw one of those helmets a few years ago for around $250 or so.  I wouldn't take under $200 if I were you.

That helmet deserves some research, it’s not the standard Luftschutz helmet, but appears to be a M1935 helmet put into Luftschutz service.

I currently do not have access to the pics of the Luftschutz helmet that I once had in my collection, but the standard Luftschutz helmet looked like this:

Is it worth that much without a liner and chinstrap?
