The camera is in, the lens isn't. This isn't your average homeowner system. It will replace our 6x4.5cm ETRS medium format camera but not the 6x7cm RZ just yet.

Figured we need a new lens right away so we are getting the new 80-200mm f/2.8D ED-IF AF-S "silent wave" motor Nikkor

ooooh, can I try?

How much does one of those cost?  I just want something a bit better than what I have, but don't want to mortage the house for it...

Unfortunately I'm stuck with the post-ban version. [:D]

I shudder to think about the cost.
$6500.00 for the F5 body.
About $500.00 for the IBM 1 Gig Microdrive film card.
And a bonus, I get a coupon for a 2nd free Gig drive.
The lens is about $1500.00.

The camera is only 6 Megapixels but generates an approx 18meg file size. Combine that with multiple layers in Pshop and file size goes up a bit.

A thinking about trying Genuine Fractals which in simple terms is an interpolation program to increase the size of physical output (portraits) from a given image file.

Here are two reviews of the 760:

OK, here is one of my first test images with the new camera. It's a bit flat but other wise looks alright. I need to play with the white balance settings to match my studio strobes. Am trying it out on a breathing subject tomorrow if the weather is nice out.

If I bought one, WallyWorld would have them on sale the next day
