No their British, look in the second picture, one of the men has one of those "baggy" type helmet covers, I dont think we use them. But the UK does.  They are SAS or SBS.

Oh shit, your right, now that you mentioned it that does look like a boonie hat. Pretty sure that makes it us. Unless the Austrailians have arrived, they use them too.

I saw the footage that this came from.  It was BBC that shot it.  The footage on TV was much clearer, and bigger.  They were easily recognizable as wearing US three color desert uniforms.  The "baggie helmet" was indeed a boonie hat.  The troop has the sides curled up, ala cowboy hat.  The equipment, weapons and uniform were all US issue.  The BBC News commentator stated that it was the first footage of US Special Forces operating in Afghanistan.  They walked from the back of the truck, up a gully, and over a hill.  That was the whole thing.  Not really excting stuff, but it was hard to not recognize them as US troops.

The barrel on the one leaning against the truck does look rather "fat".

From te size of the packs there carrying, it looks like it would be fun for the first 10 steps, then it would become a chore.

The video I saw-which looked kinda like the photos there, showed some larger supressors-too beig to be simple CAR size-  I was kinda thinking silenced-but that would be illegal of course and they would have to go to jail...
