This saturday morning, several friends & I got together for a shooting day. It turned out to be 9 people, 1 beretta 92, 1 kimber .45, 1 Ruger MK2 .22, 1 Bushy M17 Bullpup, 1 Hesse Arms AR15, 1 Bauer Arms .25 ACP SatNightSpec.
All in all, we went through about $190 in ammo, etc... We all had a great time.
There were 3 new shooters amongst us, and we kept having to remind them to NOT put their left thumb over their right hand when shooting a pistol. THey didn't listen to us, but then the range owner (a REALLY kewl guy), and his co-worker insisted that they do as we said, because the gun will "...rip your thumb right off, then you'll have learned your lesson."
Overall, it was a great weekend for me. I had tons of AR15 ammo ready for the meet, so I only spent about $25.00 on pistol ammo myself.
