You didn't miss anything, only a couple of members trying to remind those posting the moronic Photoshop treatments that posting such crap at a time when oneshot is trying to get his butt out of a sling with that agency can only hurt him. Oh, yes. And reminding them that he, oneshot, has to live there after this is over.
Yup. Real works of genius. Maybe ten or twelve of you can get together and muster a room temperature IQ between the whole bunch of you. |

Dave_G, I don't think anyone is taking 1S1K's situation lightly. By moving it to the restricted forum takes it out of public view, and allows for venting of frustration at such things. I could see you point if everyone here started emailing the NR police with nastygrams but that isn't happening.
And no offense. Once he beats this thing and he will. His life is going to be miserable. The local police up there are not going to like the idea of them being wrong and 1Shot walking away from this. I have dealt with small town police forces up in that area and they don't like being proven wrong. I doubt us being childish on here will make any difference. |

Actually, I have little doubt that some moron or morons have already been busy with the emails. Just because they paid $60 to be a member does not mean that they actually have a brain.
Also, to offer the opinion that oneshot's life after adjudication is going to be miserable anyway, in no way justifies taking actions that practically guarantee that the boys will be unhappy. |

Dave_G, I agree that we should not make his life anymore miserable then possible. If you feel by posting silly pictures on the internet is going to do this then the LEO's up there must be bigger assholes then first thought. And if this is the case then nothing we do would hurt or help because they could think up 1000 other reasons to bust his balls.
As far as the $60 goes, I don't think that just anyone is going to spend $60 to come on here to cause trouble. They can do that for free. I thought this was the reason for the membership forum in the first place. I would think that if someone is willing to drop $60 to be a member it is because they enjoy this site and want it to get better then it already is. I don't want to argue this with you but if you feel it necessary to do so then start a new thread in the membership forum so we don't have to clutter up the GD with this nonsense. |

That is why I am not using any of the images of the original site so as to not target any one individual at the PD. This is not a personal criticism against any specific officer, but the department in general. I know where the line is and this is more than appropriate... plus... (I am giving myself away here...) you have to be able to understand German to be able to read the parody site. It will be hosted at Angelfire and will make no reference to AR15 or any specific situation. It is just a private citizen exercising their rights under free speech to use parody (which is specifically protected under definition of case law) to express my views of the police state. Anyone who lives in fear of the reprocussions of such expression has already forfeited their First Amendment rights. |
