Due to the lack of an effective method of keeping track of the number of lowers ordered for CAV-AID, I thought I would start this poll thread. Here's how it works:
If you ordered one (1) lower, vote for #1. If you ordered two (2) lowers, vote for #2. etc, etc, etc. When you view the poll results, you can add up the numbers for all of the different poll options, and that should be the total ordered thus far from arfcommers, or pretty damned close. Please do not "vote" until your order has already been placed, so as not to skew the results. If you are an FFL and ordered more than the poll allows for, you can send me an email or just make a post in the thread, and I will update this post like so: Vendor XYZ: 10 lowersLet's send this number "To the moon, Alice!" and send a message to the ATF! ============================================================= OK guys, first update since March 10th........ As of Sunday, 6/15/2008, 8:15pm Central: 1 x 167 = 167 2 x 53 = 106 3 x 9 = 27 4 x 2 = 8 5 x 17 = 85 From this thread: 404* From AGP's website: 590** * 393 from poll + 1 from odontia32m (pg.3) + 1 from Another_Dude (pg.3) + 8 from Stewart Solutions, LLC (pg. 7) + 1 from engineer2001 (pg. 8) ** 410 item(s) available ============================================================= NOTE by EdSr: Sending the total of orders through the roof and to the moon is a good goal. I am waiting until we see what the total is and how many are left before I place mine |
IBTP I'm thinking about it. How about that choice. |
Trying to decide between one and two. I don't need even one, but I hate to see CavArms go belly-up.
I bought one.
With sales tax and shipping, they are $142 apiece here in AZ. I'd like to do more, but can't justify more than one right now. |
None, can't afford it. Just spent all my spare money on a new build right before this happened.
Voted... actually a bit frustrated... I just committed to buying 2 off the EE a couple days before this happened, but I still kicked in for 2 more.
Now we just have to get hold of the speed pins and other stuff from CavArms |
I just bought one.
Edit: Noticed people are posting order numbers. Mine was #922. |
The guys in the other thread were just teasing. I've never owned one of their rifles before, but my experience (with other ppl's Cav Arms rifles) is that they're nigh indestructible. And if for whatever reason it were to break, they have [IMO] the best warranty in the business: link. ETA: CA_TX-Cop, you've got mail. Hope we can find some. |
First thanks for replying.... That's a great warranty I bought it so quick last night I had no idea it was a polymer lower..... I am a noob here but we are all gun owners and I don't mind helping out a Good cause .....! Thanks again abpt1 |
Can somebody who voted give me the number? I'll be ordering later (just picked up the signed FFL) and I don't want to vote prematurely in case I get hit by a bus or something.
I am strongly considering it, and would have done it by now if I didn't already have an M-1 order in process from CMP. It is too cold in PA this time of year to be sleeping in the dog house.
No problem. That's the whole point of this site!
It is, isn't it?
That's what I was talking about in the other thread when I told you that you'll probably save money on the overall build since you won't need to buy a buttstock. Enjoy! |

I was saving for a Bulgy AK, which I still want badly, when the whole mess started. Guess I will have to wait on the Bulgy. I wasn't in the market for another AR at all, much less 2 more ARs, but hey, it's a good cause. |
I bought two even though I still haven't finished the pink and black lowers I bought two weeks ago.
I wasn't looking for a lower, but now I have one on order. I already started shopping for an upper or two once my cash flow improves.
I wonder how these lowers will do with the RRA .458 SOCOM upper? |
I would order if they had any other color except for black.
I may still even pick one up. We'll see..... Can you get them without the Cav-Aid engraving? IMO that would only subtract from the value in the future. |
I ordered one yesterday morning, without really knowing anything about it, just to support the cause. After doing some research online, I see it's an injection molded receiver/stock/grip. That's okay, I'll take the dedicated Ceiner 1/12 upper off the Stag lower that I borrowed from one of my other rifles and park it on this new lower.
I saw on one of the sites that this lower uses a carbine length buffer. Since I'm using a Ceiner equipped upper, do I even need a buffer and spring in this setup? eta: Order #836 |
Done, order was #826 |
Finally got my card back from the wife.
Order #935: One for me, one for my father-in-law. That's one or two more than the budget can handle for this month and this probably sounds so cliché, but it's such a great cause..... The "meter" is presently at 92, and that's *just* from the folks who've ordered and have also found this thread. The past few days remind me why I love this site. <sniff, sniff> |
I ordered mine today after work. $133 shiped plus $56 for lpk and $15 for buffer and spring. Thats $194 for a completed lower. Hard to beat that price. If I like this one may end up ordering another if/when they become available.
Pretty good if you ask me, we need to keep going, convince every ine you can, on and off the site, to buy buy buy.
Amen to that |

ordered one this afternoon
Don't know what i'll do with it, maybe built a dedicated 9mm indoor range rifle? |
Ordered mine last night.
Looks like at least 110 from this thraed alone. |
I am getting an extra 7 bucks an hour on my paycheck, prolly buy one a week until this gets resolved, went ahead and orderedone today though .
I have 2 Ceiner kits in various lowers, and if you are going to use one with a CavArms lower you do NOT need any buffer, spring, or roll pin to hold in the buffer detent, or even a buffer detent when using a Ceiner kit.
I ran a Ceiner kit with a Mk1 lower for about 5 months with no buffer, buffer detent, roll pin, etc and had zero problems with it. The tab on the back of the Ceiner kit prevents anything from moving backwards into the buffer tube area, so you are good to go. |
I snuck in right ahead of you...#934. |
Meter's at 119 units.....
You just *know* there's gotta be plenty of folks who've ordered but for whatever reason haven't seen this thread yet! |
I wonder how many people have honestly voted too. I'm sure that number is pretty close, but think about it. |
I hope no one decides to do that. That said, one of the main reasons I decided to go with a poll is because it's anonymous. I mean, you can *say* anything when you post, and still "vote" for the correct number of lowers. "Yeah guys, I just bought ten!" But it's not like anyone would ever be the wiser. Still, I factored that maybe a couple people *might* vote wrong, not understanding that. I think it all comes out in the wash, though, even if someone games the system, since not everyone who purchased one will find this thread and vote in it. What are the outcomes, really? I only see two:

How'd you guys see an order #? I'm going to have to check my receipt.
Never mind I had order #812. AGP Arms, Inc.: Order receipt #812 |
By the way, POOR_MAN, I hope you don't mind..... I just stole your sigline and assimilated it into mine, kind of like the Borg.
It's in there, on the AGP site, but kinda hard to see or pick out. Check the email address you signed up with. When they send you the order confirmation email, it's in the subject line, bigger'n Texas. ETA: This is the subject line for my order confirmation email: AGP Arms, Inc.: Order receipt #935 |
I wonder if we can get a lowest # order confirmation to help track. What time did the post go up? I'll edit in one second.
Dang, when did you order? If there's any rhyme or reason to their order numbering system, it looks like you ordered sometime yesterday? ETA: I asked that same question in Ed's thread yesterday, but didn't hear anything back from Kevin (AGP). I didn't want to call and ask because of how busy they probably are..... and hopefully will be, over the coming days and weeks! |

I got my member ID at 07:43 on Friday as part of the process for ordering. So I had the order confermation mailed at 07:57.
Oh please, oh please, oh please let me be first!!!!!! |
Ordered! Will have to wait a month or so to buy the parts to complete the lower, then another few months to trip across upper parts, then in about a year I will have an extra AR. I was thinking of seeing just how low weight this can get (i.e. one the super low weight uppers I from bushmaster)!
Seriously, I have no need for another AR, and this will delay buying ammo that I actually do need, but the cause is more important than my plinking ammo or CC debt... |
Yeah, and I saw that Kevin mentioned that in the other thread a few minutes ago. We considered using that metric yesterday, but were hesitant to rely on that, because the number see-sawed a bit yesterday evening (going down, and then back up). May have been due to some hinky site behavior that is now fixed? I dunno. |
