I have 2 Ceiner kits in various lowers, and if you are going to use one with a CavArms lower you do NOT need any buffer, spring, or roll pin to hold in the buffer detent, or even a buffer detent when using a Ceiner kit.

I ran a Ceiner kit with a Mk1 lower for about 5 months with no buffer, buffer detent, roll pin, etc and had zero problems with it.

The tab on the back of the Ceiner kit prevents anything from moving backwards into the buffer tube area, so you are good to go.

Thank you much for that info.
I might even be able to complete this CavArms lower out of my spare parts inventory without opening a new LPK

Yeah, and I saw that Kevin mentioned that in the other thread a few minutes ago.

We considered using that metric yesterday, but were hesitant to rely on that, because the number see-sawed a bit yesterday evening (going down, and then back up).

May have been due to some hinky site behavior that is now fixed?

I dunno.

My guess is that they remove one from the inventory for a certain period of time when you put it your shopping cart, to prevent selling more than they have.  That would explain the fluctuating number at the initial offering, and why it seems to have stabilized now.

Weren't there some posts about problems with the checkout process, yesterday (having someone else's shipping info pop up?)?  Somebody puts a lower in their shopping cart, goes to checkout, finds the checkout system acting screwy and stops the checkout process, quantity in stock goes back up when their order isn't completed within a certain length of time...

Makes sense to me.

Their checkout seemed to be working fine, last night.

The meter in this thread reads 174 units as of 8:25am, Central.

At the same time, the QiS* indicator on AGP's website read 810 items available: thus, 190 sold.

I called AGP yesterday when everything was initially going down and I was online trying to buy my 2.

They told me that as we were speaking, they were updating the website and getting things up and running, since they weren't initially set up for orders and usage of that magnitude.

So everything should be fine now, for those of you who are still worried about the software portion of it.

These are stripped lowers.

You need to screw the butt plate on and trim the flash around the length of the stock.

I'm glad the Feebees didn't take their license to manufacture.  Just stock on hand.

Is the number on hand a floating target?  What I mean to say is, 700 in stock out of a production run of 1000.  If we buy 20 in a day and they get an additional 300 during our group buy ... the stock on hand would be 780.

Anybody got a direct line to CavArms or AGP?  Or will that be our accuracy check at the end of the poll?

That's one of the main reasons I started this; in case they reordered and the number of items in stock became an unreliable indicator.  That, and the website troubles they were having handling our volume at first.

Anybody got a direct line to CavArms or AGP?  Or will that be our accuracy check at the end of the poll?

I'm going to leave this decision up to you guys.  Ever since AGP got the scalability issue worked out, our number has mirrored their pretty closely.  I figure the group buys won't knock down their site because they'll probably do those by phone instead of website, but I don't know.

Regardless of how this thread eventually goes, it's been nice breathing the same rarified air as you gentlemen saints !
