As you can tell, it was definitely a nice afternoon. Next to me was a group of people in there 20's who didn't like brass raining down on them...don't go to an unregulated range then. [rolleyes] They even asked my to step in front of the firing line to shoot.
At the far end was a group of people most likely to be found drowned in the gene pool, shooting .22 rifle and revolvers at clays they threw. They constantly walked out on the range to move targets. Grandma was in a wheelchair shooting a revolver with her eye behind the hammer.
The C3 guys show up and start having lots of fun. One comes over, hands brouhaha-ette the M4, and tells her to blast away. The rest of us unreluctantly follow suit.
We burned through about 300 .308, 400 5.45, 300 5.56, and untold amounts of .22 and 7.63x39. That's just what was missing from my stash.
C3 guy just happens to also be a part-time photographer for Penthouse. [shock]
We stayed until after dark. The C3 guns looked kinda weak then because of the flash suppressors, as did my HK91. But the SAR8 could have been used to read with, and the M1 could have lit a candle 10 feet away.
The C3 guys got our numbers, and said they'd call next time they plan on showing up with their belt-feds! [heavy]
I'm just waiting on the call now!
Anybody else have a good time shooting today?
