If a previously-parkerized weapon has been hard chromed, is it possible to DE-chrome it?

Look in the phone book for a plating service. I found one locally that re-plates old brass type lights and whatnot. The de-nickled an S&W 1917 that some goober had pimped out. It came back to me very nicely polished. Dropped it in the blue tank and It looked fantastic. Not original anyway, so the deeeeep blue looks great.

It is done the same as plating, they just reverse the polarity in the plating tank.

No, you don't bead blast it off.
