With new travel restrictions, how many have one and why?

I have had one for awhile because I occasionally travel out of country.

it's worth it, you only need to renew every 10 years unlike Canada which is every 5 years...ask me how I know

I would like to get a passport at some point, but I haven't needed one yet.  I might get around to applying for one this year though.

Two, in fact.

Interesting idea for a thread.  Sometimes I get the feelign that folks here have never left their home county, let alone the US.

Yup.  Hard to cross the border these days without it.

Also, passports make a great form of ID if you need to show "government ID" but don't want to give away your address.

Ooh, the coveted black passport.  Never had a chance to use or be issued one of those yet.  If I keep my nose clean, maybe I'll get a real job someday.

Don't have one, won't get one. I used to go to Canada, But i'll never set foot in that country again after their refusal to help out  in Iraq.

I have no interest in going to the crime syndicate that is Mexico.

The only way I would ever go to a foreign country is if we were invading it, and I'm too old to be called up now.

There are many beautiful places in the US that I'll probably never see  (until I retire maybe .) I can't imagine spending money going to go to  a foreign country when there is so much to do in the USA.

I have a blue one. I'm probably going to go study abroad in a Spanish-speaking country eventually, or Japan for international business.

Just used in this week when I went to Phuket for a week.

You kind of have to have one in my line of work...

Trips between HK and the mainland are slowly but surely devouring every page of mine.

There are 3 that I know of and they signify diplomat (black), official (red), and regular (blue)

Got mine...I think it's good for another few years.  I'll get another one then; it's just something good to have IMHO.

I've been to the Netherlands and Belgium, and studied abroad in Italy, so it's gotten some use.  Went to Canada once but I don't recall a passport being necessary at that time.
