Instant water, just add water! |
Is'nt he like in 8th place in the Presidential race? Or did'nt he quit?
Just add water.... oh wait |
I hope they leave it up for a little while. The news censors Ron bad enough. |
Only someone from OR/WA could come up with something like that..... |
He got 2nd in Nevada yesterday, thats not to shabby IMO! |
<insert stock "Ron Paul Can't Win, so keep voting for the liberal with the (R) next to his name" response here>
Didn't he vote against a certain holiday that takes place tomorrow?
More like "Vote for our guy FDT who has no better chance and whom even Paul beat in several primaries". |
I have no problem with that. |
The irony and retarded nature of that poster, both baffles and infuriates me.
A guy that keeps saying how we need to cut funds to the military is using a WW2 poster, The original intent of that poster was to RAISE money for the military, not something Paul would do. |
Buying War Bonds was optional, not like paying your (excessive) taxes |
Has Paul spent the money from his last "money bomb" yet?
Have we figured out what he spent all that money on? |
I just found the pic on google image. heres the sites disclaimer The Ron Paul Money Bomb is a grass roots effort and is not affiliated or endorsed by Ron Paul's campaign. Citizens and patriots trying to help legalize the constitution again |
Don't you find it odd that the "I just donated to the Fred Thompson Campaign" thread hasn't been moved to Politics and Activism?
No knock on Fred, but someone's bias is showing. |
Gee, I think they paid taxes in WWII. |
not nearly the percentage of income we do now. With all the new taxes that have been put in place since 1945 we probably could fund another country entirely (actually we do since we hand a bunch of it out to other coutries) |
+1. Not the appropriate poster for a guy who wants to cut the military by what, 80%? I think as much thought went into the choice of that poster as went into RP's foreign policy positions. |
My point was that the War bonds have a maturity & direct payback.....I have a couple Ks of the "patriot bonds" (win/win)
Paying high taxes & driving up debt for a nebulous "WoT" the outcome is questionable. I think the poster is appropriate for a Presidential Candidate that would put Americans first. |
It's on!
Wasn't Huckabees moneybomb somewhere around 95K in 24 hrs? Pauls MLK moneybomb beats it in 1.5hrs |
Just curious, what was the maximum tax rate during WWII? |
In 1944, if you or your family made over $200,000 (highest tax bracket), your tax rate was 94 percent. Also, in 1944, people making up to $2,000 (lowest tax bracket) had a tax rate of 23 percent. Roosevelt said, once, "no American citizen ought to have a net income, after he has paid his taxes, of more than $25,000 a year." |
I just gave and by the time I donated and clicked back on the thing to see the current total, it was about $15,000 higher. Probably took me 90 seconds.
Money bomb indeed. |
Hell he ranked 2nd in Nevada! |
In a recent CNN interview, they introduced him by saying that he still had $9 million on hand, which means he has spent about half of the $20million he raised. He spent it on the same stuff every campaign spends their money on; radio, print and tv ads and maintaining a staff. |
~~Just donated... I like these events as much as anybody else, but it was the turtle that beat the hare... |
What are you guys going to wish you'd spent that money on when RP doesn't win any primaries?
Conversely, what is Ron Paul going to spend that money on when he can't win any primaries? |
Would someone here please cite the primary source for the statement that paul wants to cut the military funding by 80 percent if he becomes President? I've been following pauls campaign fairly close over the last few months and, so far, I have failed to find any source for the statement above. Likewise, I have also failed to hear paul himself quote that figure in various interviews which he has given in the past 12 months. Perhaps I have failed to look deep enough? If so then I would appreciate it if someone here could point me to the original source for the 80% figure. Obviously, a direct quote from paul himself would be ideal here. TIA
Edited to fix some grammar mistakes. |

bump
Today seems to be going pretty well so far. They just blew past the $1,000,000 mark. ronpaulgraphs.com/nov_30_vs_best_total.html |
Maybe he'll buy Thompson a nice new mattress so he can finally just go to sleep. |
Or maybe he'll buy his Troofer supporters a fucking clue. |

A direct quote? Sure. TAYLOR: I don't know you very well, but I think I know you well enough to believe you have no desire to ever become President of the United States. CONGRESSMAN PAUL: That's for sure. TAYLOR: Even so, many people who know you and revere your work would love to see that. But if you were President, what policies would you seek to implement to make America a freer, safer, fairer, and more prosperous place for its citizens? CONGRESSMAN PAUL: It's the respect for liberty that is the problem. We don't have enough respect or understanding or confidence in liberty. That is the real problem. To cut back on government, you have to have the people understand the issue of liberty. So, my biggest goal has been in the area of education, as well as this little political effort I am involved in. But oh, I guess I would get rid of the Federal Reserve, get rid of the IRS, bring our troops home, and cut down to only about 20% of what we are spending on the military - those things would bring about a tremendous boom in this country, but it is just not going to happen. www.321gold.com/editorials/taylor/taylor031706.html I have many more quotes where he calls for a "much smaller" military, "not so many troops", blasts Clinton for not cutting enough, and so on if you need more. Yeah, the Paul supporters will be in soon to say he doesn't really mean that, he was just throwing figures about, etc.... but when asked for direct quotes where he is for anything else, they cannot produce. |
Or Fred! Oops...www.ar15.com/forums/topic.html?b=1&f=5&t=664898 |
Fred heads still come in here and bash Paul. If Fred's platform is so damn appealing why can't he raise any more money? I am anticipating his race withdrawl speech very soon.
Yup, give it a rest Garand_Shooter. You've posted that same text probably 25 times already, (Spam much) and if you wouldn't mind reading that last line in the interview and tell us what Paul says, hmmmm? Here let me help you..... (Ron Paul, 80% reduction) but it is just not going to happen. |
He is ahead of Thompson . |
Because he doesn't have crazy liberals voting for him like Paul does. |
