... a poem about a Haunted House? I haven't, so I wrote one a couple of years ago.

A Bitter Rustling Breeze -
Stir The Great Oak Trees.

As Crisp Leaves Of Rusty Brown -
Gracefully Spiral To The Ground.

Seemingly Another Chill Autumn Night -
Coal Black Sky –Moon Hangs Low And Is Very Bright.

Body And Soul You Feel A Chill -
When You Step Into The Shadow, Of The House On The Hill.

This House Has Stood For Hundreds Of Years -
And Has Been The Host of Many A Person’s Fears.

Some Who Have Staved There Have Heard Unholy Whispers In Their Ears…
Others Who Have Stayed There – Have Simply Disappeared.

There Is An Evil About This House That You Cannot Deny -
Although It’s Not Visible To The Human Eye.

Inside The Beautifully Decorated Halls -
You Won’t See The Bloodstains On The Walls.

For With The First Light Of Day -
These And Other Horrors Will Slowly Fade Away.

Some Of The Stained Glass Windows, Held By Lead And Tin -
Hold Souls Of The Dead, Forever Trapped Within.

The House Itself Holds No Demon Or Disciple Of Satan…
It’s Evil Alone Leaves It Forsaken.

Inexorably Entering The House - Being Drawn In…
Thin Rays Of Light Struggle Against The Shadows Within.

Entering This House Took More Courage Than You Ever Knew You Had -
But However Courageous – The Decision Was Bad.

Looking Out Of The Windows, Only Seeing The World In White And Black –
Now Realizing That You Can Never Go Back.

A Cold, Heavy Tear Trickles Down Your Transparent Face  -
And Falls To The Ground, Not Leaving A Trace.
