According to ESPN, it's un-American to root against the Yankees. Of course, they have a pro-anything NYC bias.

GO D-BACKS! Did you guys notice that the commentators on Fox never acknowledged that Arizona was playing good ball. Whenever the D-Backs got a run it was always because "Some Yankee screwed up."

Ya have to wonder "what if" The Seattle Mariners had agreed to pay Randy Johnson, Griffy Jr and Alex Rodriguez to stay on the same team. Oh well, out of the three Randy Johnson is the one who deserves to win a MLB Championship.

As a Red Sox fan, I gotta say, I pull for WHOEVER is playing against the Yankees.
I'd LOVE to see the Yankees SWEPT.And I CANNOT believe this crap about the Yankees being the "team of destiny." I mean, its NOT like any of their ball players were killed in the WTC attack. And MOST of the players live elsewhere in the country anyway. So, my motives are NOT pure, but GO D-BACKS!!!!!!! |

I think Seattle thought they had it in the bag when they were up by 2 games... Now they are watching the series from home. The d'backs did look good and the Yankees did make mistakes... But they made them in AZ.
Welcome to NYC where the current temperature is a balmy 42 degrees on a brisk Bronx night... This one is going to seven games ladies and gentlemen. But at least AZ will be home to lick their wounds and won't have to walk home too far after they drown their sorrows and don the big "L" baseball caps. Too bad they won't be getting a championship ring this year... |
