You don't have to spend the entire $100K, but you're not getting any change back.  And there's no way around that, you can buy a Mercedes and then sell it and buy a Camry and keep the change.  And it's got to be a personal vehicle, not something work-related.

What would you buy?

And keep what i've got now? Aston Martin V8 Vantage, used if necessary to keep the cost within limits.

Ruf's supercharged Cayman S is just a little more than that, could I get that one?

Nope.  You have $100K and only $100K, you can't add anything to it.

Build a street rod from the ground up. Not looking for authenticate for the time period, just a good old fashion muscle car.

2008 BMW M3

I wanted to say a Z06 for the performance aspect, but the new M3 would be much more practical and still has plenty of power.

Then sell that sucker, buy a nice Corvette and keep the change.

Fully refurbed HMMWV, with mounted M2, and killer stereo system for playing "ride of the Valkrie" really loud...

Or, whatever the newest fastest custom Corvette package is.  I don't care who it is, just as long as they take that 500+ HP engine, and cram a supercharger on it, and give me a warrantee.

Actually, most of the HMMWV's I've seen can be had for around $35k so he might have enough left for a transferable Ma Deuce.

That would be the plan....  Truck, Gun, any extra goes toward restoration, stereo, and ammo.  Also would supplement with gradual installation of various tactical and survival gear.

I'd pay to get a standard bed fitted to the chassis cab.  You know, with the 100k and all.  One of the four wheeler mags did something similar and it was awesome.

Personal as in daily driver or garage queen I take out on occasion?

I like those Astons, there a sweet car. Z06's are nice as well, and I wouldnt turn down a M3.

But those are plenty different. The Z06, your takin you and a friend period. With the Aston I can at least cram something in the back and the M3 lets me take all 3 kids.

Audi's are nice as well, and a Lex would be a great reliable car.

Fort me personally probably the Aston or M3.

I'd build a low 8 second drag car, and (foolishly) attempt to retain some semblance of streetability. I think for $100,000 I could pull it off, too.

or

Chevy Corvette Z06

Depending on my mood.
It's the slowest, but I would probably lean towards the V8 Vantage.
