So I last spoke to her Friday. Tried calling Saturday, left a voice mail on her cell phone. No response, figured she was busy with her kids. Not a peep from her Sunday, not a big deal, she's an adult and I worked late; came home and went to sleep because I was exhausted. But it kind of bugged me that I hadn't heard from her in two days. Usually I get a message or a text saying "hello". Today, called in the afternoon, close to her quiting time. Nada. Called again after dinner again nothing. So now I'm getting worried. I let it go until about 10PM. Then after another call, I decided to go over to her place, just to make sure she wasn't in a car wreck over the weekend or fell and cracked her coconut on the floor and no one was able to tell me (her kids are grown or going to college; they live in the area but as far as I know don't have my phone number, unless she gave it to them).

So as I pull up to her house I see an unknown car in the drive. Again, not a totally unheard of thing at her place, if her kids are there and brought a friend. So I ring the door bell. I get greeted by some unknown guy who is about half dressed and half in the bag. He looks at me like "who the hell are you?" I look back at him the same way. Then I see my "girlfriend" standing there. She looks at me sheepishly and I just ask her "are you OK?" She says she is, and I just explained that I was just worried about her and I walk away. No yelling, no screaming, a little dejected and a little unhappy.

No call yet, I guess they are having a good time. I won't bother calling her anymore.

Wait a tick...I'm single again.
Updated on pg-6. She finally called 12 hours later. I guess she wanted to wait until he left. How considerate.

When women don't respond, it may be a red flag. If she's intimate with you and doesn't respond, then if there isn't a good excuse, then it's time to back off and start shopping. Glad you found out that she's losing her attraction to you and is seeking another beau.

it sucks to walk away, but ya got to. My recent ex did the same thing, but she said I was stalking her after I went to check on her after 3 days.

I just changed phone numbers so she can't come to me for help again.

Sorry to hear about it, smoky. You did the right thing though. Drama only makes it worse. I'm not sure why some guys think they can use intimidation into getting women to love them.

And, no, this isn't typical of women nowadays. Sometimes God's timing is not our own. This obviously wasn't meant to be.

We are both divorced and in our 40's. She more recently divorced than me. Her youngest kid is 18, oldest 22. She had said I was the first guy she had dated since her divorce.

You found out early that she can not be trusted. Imagine how you'd feel if you two were "more involved"....ie shacking up, co-signing a lease or car, engagement rings, married.
