What is the general concensus from the all mighty Hive on purchasing the Brown Bear Ammo.
Especially for a Mosin-Nagant? I think it will work just fine and is reasonably priced.  Brown Bear at AIM

priced to high.
found it for 3.99 a box at clydes. eta....... my bad was thinking 5.56....sorry! |

yeah my bushmaster ate 1,000 rounds,not a problem all day.

Basically just like Wolf;Russian ammo made at one of their military factories (I want to say Ulyanovsk perhaps?)
It's better quality than a lot of the old surplus lying around out there. There's nothing more fun than sorting through old Albanian surplus 7.62x54 trying to find rounds that headspace properly in your BIL's M44 carbine. That's one thing you don't have to do with the new manufacture ammo. |

I've had problems in the past with Wolf short cycling in my AR's, but with the Brown Bear I have never had that paroblem and it seems to be hotter than Wolf. I'm down to my last 2K of the stuff now and wish I would have boght more.

worked fine in an my mini, ar, sks but not so good in my .380, who cares though .380's suck
