Do nothing. What seems early to you is late to other people. Some people get up and do their chores early. You may say you "deserve your sleep" but what is this really disrupting in your life? I bet if these same neighbors let their grass grow several feet high you'd be posting to complain that the eyesore is bringing down your property value.

If he understood English, that might be an option. Let's just say the demograhics in the neighborhood are going thru substantial changes the last couple of years. Let me add, that I've been here since '84 and this is the first time any neighbor ever started a lawn mower or a generator or any kind of 2-cycle engine prior to 8:00am on a weekend. (only during the period following Hurricane Wilma being an exception) |

When I was in my teens and early twenties I used to go out on Friday and Saturday nights until 3-5 AM. I would wake up on Saturday and Sunday mornings at around 11 AM.
At that time I felt the same way about neighbors. Now that I am a little bit older I can't stay out so late and I always wake up relatively early on the weekends. Since i am up early I like to get the chores done so I have the rest of the day free to enjoy however I see fit. So my question is, how old are you? |

Mow your yard at like midnight,,, my neighbor a long time ago in a state far far away would mow his shit at like 5 am before he went to work and sometimes at like 10 PM,,,, so I flew late one night and needed to mow my grass so I got the mower out proceeded to piss him the F*** off and he let me know it too. So we both agreed that 5 am and midnight were not appropriate times to mow and never had any issues with it after that. And the rest of the neighbors were happy we were getting along too because the same M***F**** swiped my lawn chairs too,, although I couldn't prove the ones in his yard were mine I was SOL.................so a few threats towards me and his ass was owned... Mow your stuff at midnight and have a constructive talk when he comes out and bitches........

I'm up at the asscrack of dawn even on weekends so it wouldn't bother me. But, here's a funny story.
I live in a rural area which is prone to migrating 'city folk' who think country living is the end all/be all of civilization. They have watched too many episodes of Andy Griffith and want to move to Mayberry. Think NYC moving to New England with their millions. Anyway, I was at gun club meeting a week or two ago and we were discussing how the new members of the community [read that as assclowns from NYC] are trying everything imaginable to close down the club. One gentlemen related the tale of a farmer friend of his who has a NYC transplant neighbor... she asked him to change the time he milked his cows because it was interfering with her sleep. I shit you not. |
