Assuming you participate ...

I want to find something good to get for my brother. He's big into outdoors shit, backpacking, camping, rock climbing, etc. Not into shooting unfortunately. Damn kid seems to have everything he needs already though.

Any ideas?

I'm hoping to land a PS3 for christmas. If that doesn't work out then I'll just take 3-400 cash.

Gift cards, giving and getting, hopefully.

My family always does the gift card thing. I'm not a fan. I like the challenge of finding something the person will like.

My first vote would be to just dump the whole gift giving tradition and get the focus back where it should be, but that doesn't fly either.

I'm gonna get the wife some astro glide (wierd that it rhymes with asshole slide isn't it?) and a sack of nuts.

I'm hoping to get for myself at least one box of ammo. I accept all calibers.

Gonna get the boys some paintball guns.

Give, what they want and I can afford.

Get, well, I probably just want a starter bass and a practice amp.

Hopefully Enough cash to pay the difference from my trade in gun and a new Springfield Armory 4" 1911.

Giving = Nothing. I am a student, and therefore have NO money.

Getting the wife the usual...stuff bought at the last minute

Hoping to get a pistol. Budget is limited, so I'm thinking Taurus 24/7.

Bad choice?

My wife and I get our christmas gifts all year long. Want something, buy it. Merry Chistmas to me.

We do buy gifts for our parents only.

Christmas is for the kids, none here.

ETA cash is best for gifts. No gift cards to expire, exchanges to make etc.

Gift cards are the biggest ripoff. Give good money(no restictions) to have a card that can expire or lose value in a certain amout of time. Just plain dumb.

If I can keep my apartment clean, I'll be getting a Winchester Model 190 .22LR with a scope and ammo.  My mom wants something called "stain glass appliques" whatever that is.  With my dad it's like pulling teeth to get him to tell me what he wants for his birthday or Christmas.  I'll probably go for some kind of power tool.

I'm also gonna be getting a soundcard so I don't have to deal with onboard sound anymore.

Getting? Nothing I can think of. I feel guilty asking for what I want since it's too expensive.

The kids want cash, but the youngest will get some guitar gear and maybe more lessons in the spring.

The wife isn't gettting squat. I spent any money on her gift for my divorce lawer's retainer.

Merry f***ing Christams at my house.

My wife will buy for all the grand kids so I have no idea there,

but the rest of us adults are going to buy one "obscure" movie DVD and

put them in a pile and pick one and guess who bought it

dog-meat

If your brother is into rock climbing, a new 9mm or 10mm rope is nice
since they do ware out. They run just over about $100.00

If that is too much money, you can't have enough carabiners for about $6.00 each,
or tube webbing for about $0.30 a foot.

I am giving my dad this:
NoDak Spud M16A1

I am also going to give dad a patch from that which he served in VN.

Last year I got him an M1A.

ETA: I have no idea if I am getting anything.  I just bought a 46" Sharp Aquos LCD and a PS3, so I guess that counts for something.

I got my Mother a real nice had made quilt, my Brother and Sister the dvd sets they wanted, and my Father the new pair of Justin boots he wanted.

I know I'll be getting a new Zune, and a bunch of 511 pants.

I still have to get some small stuff yet. I want to buy one of the large packages of summer sausage, that when wrapped will look like a giant wang.

Don't know, hoping for a stripped lower so I can build a CT legal AR.

The family is going to FL for X-Mas, so I don't think there will be many presents this year. Thats ok with me.

I already gave my wife a sewing machine (dang things are freaking expensive!) as an early Chrismas present, and will give her a couple other cheap things.  I'm getting a couple of gun things, but nothing much, just like I want.  I hate it when people spend $$ on me.
