i got a good one for you on this topic. I service pc's for a major service company. I had a call in the local airport contol tower monday.
I pull up to the gate with my drivers license and ccw in hand and my glock in open view on the console. Not necessary but i figure i'd make life easy. 2 city cops at the gate ask to search my vehicle before entering the tower area. I say no problem and open the trunk. they proceed to open and inspect every parts box in my vehicle. Then they say ok all clear go ahead.
 I ask about the glock sitting on my console. they say what glock?! i say the one you looked right at while you were looking under the seat.
Here's the funny part. They look at each other, completely clueless as to what to say and then wave me on through! I asked again was it ok due to the fact that the tower area is a federal secure zone. they say don't worry just leave it in the car and go on. Absolutly blew my mind. The last time i went they asked me to secure it in a locker and gave me a reciet. I think i embarrased them so bad they didn't want to admit they missed a loaded weapon right in front of their face.
