What would a decent price for a new Mini 14 be?

I saw one for $500 last night and I am just wondering if I should go for it.  Do you have any thoughts about the gun itself?

invest $150-$200 more bucks and you could get yourself a good AR.........if you want a cheap plinker get an SKS.......Mini's aren't work the money.  Just my $.02

I agree with vthokieshooter spend the extra couple hundred and get an ar,have not owned one myself(mini-14) but that is because i have learned from others mistakes.i heard they aren't too accurate no matter what you do to them,as for price references try [url]www.gunsamerica.com[/url]
