Hi, I've been lurking for awhile and have now joined your ranks.  This site has a great amount of knowledge stored here and in the minds of the users.  I for one appreciate it.

I built my first AR about 6 years ago and have loved every minute of it and have just built my second as of last week while helping a friend assemble his.  Both on Bushmaster lowers.  1 with a Sun Valley Traders Kit and the new one with a Model 1 Sales kit.  These rifles truly are the easiest rifles to shoot, work on and build.

Just like some of the motorcycle lists I'm on, Harleys and Ducatis, the information stream is truly valuable.  It really helped with the decision of the Model 1 Sales kit for the new build.

Look forward to the different posts that crop up here.

John

Welcome.  Please explain what you mean about the Model 1 Sales kit.  I'm happy with mine, but I get a negative feeling about them here.

Welcome from the Occupied California Republic.  Believe it or not, there are a lot of AR-15 enthusiasts out here, even do-it-yourselfers like myself.

I hope you enjoy the Build It Yourself forum as much as I do!

Glad you made the jump, welcome. Usually it's proper to send a new in the wrap 30rd mag to everyone that post's to your first thread. Wouldn't want you to break with policy.[:D]

Yeah, I read both good and bad but it seemed more good than bad.  The upper seems to be very good quality.  Lower went together fairly well.  Fit and function seem fine.  What more could you want.  Time will only tell if lasts many thousands of rounds but it will be fun.  Parts seemed nice and tight.  Upper to lower fit was great.

I have enjoyed the builder section as well as others.  Great information.  You can never stop learning and I built my first gun when I was 14 and still have it.

Anyone who likes Harleys can't be all bad.

Yeah, they're pretty good scooters.  I've wrenched on bikes for a few dealers and built custom choppers at another shop.  No matter what I do, I can't seem to keep my hands out of the grease.

Welcome to the boards.  As you know we talk about Babe of the Day, tinfoil hats, Classic Babes, snakes, trucks, cars, relationships, laws, stupid cat pics, and once in a while we manage to talk about guns.
