Have you EVER seen a stray cat or dog outside a Chinese restaurant?

I was contemplating this today while I was eating a piece of meat on a stick that I looked like it could be a cat's leg.

I've seen them outside lots of other eating establishments, but never a Chinese one.

I used to work at a chinese restaurant.  If any (and I mean any) animal was left unattended, we took it.  That was my job.

We had a local chinese restaurant that got in some huge trouble (shut down) after cat parts were found behind it in the dumpster.

It tastes good though. I guess cat metabolizes very quickly

There's a part of St. Louis MO referred to as "Dogtown" for a reason.

No, but I saw some guys skinning out a dog outside a restaurant north of NSA in Naples one Saturday.  Does that count?

Actually, the only place I've seen stray cats in this city is one in a park, and I don't think the clothing stores or coffee shops or Five Guys are serving cat.

You know, we made fun of one of my Vietnamese friends about eating cat, he says in Vietnam, eating cat is considered really bad juju, like breaking a mirror while walking under a ladder and on a sidewalk crack and shouting "I'm invincible, even god can't kill me" on a golf course in a lightning storm bad.

Some of the Chinese places I've eaten...there's just no way that stuff is chicken. I mean, I *know* chicken. And it wasn't chicken. I'm just sayin.

I firmly believe that the more persistent stereotypes came to exist for good reason.  There is a factual history behind them.

Yeah,  it  most likely IS cat, at least some of the time.

Well, at least that's one way that a cat can actually be USEFUL, anyway.
