Friday, October 12, 2007 A man convicted of causing a crash on Pacific Coast Highway that killed the director of "A Christmas Story'' and his son is scheduled to be sentenced today. Hector Manuel Velazquez-Nava could face a six-year state prison term. Velazquez-Nava pleaded no contest to two counts of manslaughter in August in the deaths of Robert Clark and his son, Ariel Hanrath-Clark. Authorities said Velazquez-Nava, an illegal immigrant, had a blood-alcohol content of .24 -- three times the legal limit. /end Maximum six years? WTF? The guy who mailed the pot to the wrong address is facing TEN years. FFS this is ridiculous. I'll update once I find out the sentence. Well I sure hope they let this bastard talk to the Mexican embassy or George (sucking mexicos dick) Bush will have the verdict thrown out and let the killer go free.

Updated: Hector Manuel Velazquez-Nava, 25, begged for forgiveness before he was sentenced. He got 6 years. Subtract half that for "good behavior" = 3 years. 1.5 years for each American Citizen killed. Sounds cheap, don't it? Kevin "Way to go Jorge Boosh." |

How is this sentence different than the sentence an American citiizen would receive if convicted of the same crimes? It's not. Granted, the guy shouldn't even be here but he wasn't tried/convicted on those charges. Brian |
