I have always been a cigar smoker but I have been talking to a few of you (you know who you are
 ) and it has made me want to try out a pipe. So I stopped at my Tobacconist and grabbed a Bent Bob and 2 ounces of and awesome blend called crown country. Cant wait to try it, but I have to put my new Jeep top on first. |

I smoke cigars a decent amount...never tried a pipe. Might have to give it a shot. I love the smell.

I enjoy collecting and refinishing old Petersen pipes from ebay. Congrats justin of finding a very relaxing hobby that can be pretty cheap to enjoy! Time to pack some 965 woot!

You probably want to start with an English or an Oriental blend. Stick with name brand blends, Frog Morton or McClelland brands. Avoid Mac Baren AKA Mac Blowtorch. Also check out this site. www.tobaccoreviews.com/ Lots of good feed back in this site. There was a local tobacconist that would mix the ground up cut ends from cigars and a mild Latakia blend and it was crazy popular, I tried and would rate it above average. I am 33 and I have at least 40 pipes ranging from Doc Grabows to Peterson's to Cobs. Ebay is best place to find pipes. |

I have been partial to cigars now and then, so I may have to give this a try. Pipe tobacco is cheaper than decent cigars yes?
I am 19 as well. Looking at fedoras and pipes. I might as well just buy an f'n cane and a buick century and get it over with. |

I need a new pipe. I had to take the filter out of the one I have and now it takes like crap. I need to buy a better one.
I like the one you bought. Similar to the style I want. Love pipe smoking in cold weather. Way cheaper and easier than cigars. I smoke Irish Puff from my local tobacco ship. It's good stuff. EDIT: I know a ton of other college students who smoke pipes. Pipe tobacco is cheap and comes it tons of flavors. I started with cigars and still enjoy them, but with a pipe you can smoke for as long as you want. Just put in a pinch of tobacco. If you're done, throw it out, if you want more, stick another pinch and keep going. Great way to enjoy fine smoking without paying an arm and a leg for it. |

I feel the same way, I wear a Fedora sometime But yes my bowl lasted about 20 minutes and it is so different then a cigar more relaxing IMHO you need to try it.
