So today the Mrs. and I celebrate year 14 of marriage. I remembered yesterday that today was the day.. So early this AM thoughts of "What to get" were on my mind. In fourteen years of playing this game at birthdays, Christmas, Anniversaries, etc. I've used up a lot of my options. So I went with old reliable. She came home to a dozen roses. I came home to a fresh bottle of booze. I think things worked out well....



Few things worse than that "What to get" feeling, especially when time is of the essence.

It becomes a more difficult task as the years go by.  At some point Occam's Razor comes into play, "All things being equal, the simplest solution tends to be the right one"

On a related note I ran into the same problem for Mom's birthday yesterday.  Bought one of those digital picture frames, loaded it up with pictures of the grandkids.  "He shoots,he scores!".

Anything that gets the job done..  My first thought was "new shotgun", but seeing as to how she doesn't have an "old shotgun", or has ever fired a shotgun, it just didn't seem right. Other choice was gift card, but you're really pushing your luck there. Maybe for her birthday..
