I mean do you have to be born with it or can I pick it up later in life?
nearly all turrets are contracted.
Why else would General Dynamics put them on on the M1s? |
I thought if you changed the title to the right spelling you'd get more hits. PIIIIIISSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

I hear in Halo 3 you can pick up turrets. |
I say it can lie dormant for years before manifesting itself
COCKGOBBLER!!! |
??? what are/is turrets? |
You don't need to contract out, you can build turrets in-house easily. Get a decent machine shop going, some motors, secure radio controls...
Biggest hurdle would be acquiring the weapon for your turret. |

Tourettes is a genetic neurological disorder. Most cases involve various tics or uncontrolled repetative behaviors. Only extreme cases actually vocalize. There's much more the experts don't know about Tourettes than there is that they do know.
My daughter has it. She's had very mild tics that we began noticing when she was about 4 or 5. It also effects her concentration. She's 8 now and we had it diagnosed a little over a year ago. We're still working on a medication to best treat it. She knows she has it. She understands what it is. She's aware of her tics. She deals with it very well. We are lucky. |

Now I am going to be thinking of Boondock Saints all night....
Ass! Fuck! |
They sure dont build them like that anymore.... |
Yeah, having rotatable gun emplacements growing out of various parts of your body would most likely suck....except in one place.

I once thought of cantracting out the building automated 20mm turrets on my lawn.
Then I realized I'd need money. |

If I remember correctly, it is something you are born with. Apparently, the best non-smart aleck reply you will get. Wikipedia article

one of my college teachers had a mild case
he mainly twitched and occasionally made a slight chuckle sound it was great on test day. someone would hand in their test, he'd look at it and do the chuckle thing it'd make people think they had done really bad |
you called it the best thread ever ... exactly two minutes before it died. You ever though about working for Miss Cleo? TRG |
My co-workers took a class with a guy with tourettes in the inner city.
Unfortunately for him.. his favorite line when he got stressed out was 'FUCK EM N***GERS'. |
Well I guess "PIIIISSSS AAAASSS" you could catch it from "BALL MUNCHER" someone, but it would be ver "DUTCH OVEN" hard to do.
What the fuck is this thread about?
Av. eta: DAMNIT! Now this stupidity will show up in my active topics! |
There is a tendency toward it on my father's side. Neither he nor I have any symptoms though. |

There have been several turret contracts let to small companies for upgraded turrets for use in Iraq on M1114 gun trucks. I wish I had the capital to play that game.
While we're on the subject of turrets, can someone explain why some people spell it "turents"? I see it all the time and it drives me nuts for some reason.
For entertainment value, ask them to spell "reticle" while they are at it. |
