Maybe it was the answer to a question I just saw on FOX. The showed a clip from some airbase where Rumsfeld was having a gathering of B2 support personnel. One of them asked "what are we going to do about CNN?". His response was "I'm plucky, but I'm not stupid.". Just out of curiosity, since I've not been watching CNN, what did they do to piss off the military, besides everything they say? Oh, by the way, the FOX studio anchor, after showing the clip, said "Can't do much worse to them than they are doing themselves." LMAO.

CNN was posing a major risk to Afghan civilians. Big chunks of their reporting from Afghanistan have been along the lines of "Oh my - look at all the terrible destroyed civilian homes that big bad US bombs have destroyed". Eventually, there was bound to be a slow news day and an enterprising Taliban PR crew with a howitzer... and hey presto, CNN has another story to die for.

CNN is basically a mouthpiece for the enemy. Ever notice how there are no news agencies around other than CNN? Remember the Gulf War? This is because the others refuse to be used. CNN, OTH, has such a major hard-on for "access", they'll let themselves be used to the enemy's advantage. The end result is they never ask difficult questions. All they do is photograph what the enemy wants them to photograph (such as blown up school houses) and present his POV. They become a mere propaganda machine.

Some of you may recall that during the Gulf War, a smart bomb "accidently" strayed off course in Bagdad, and hit right next to the hotel that CNN had set up in.
