I'll be visiting family in Finland next summer. Oh and 10/10.
The temp of that steak is referred to as a "black & blue steak" around here. Charred on the outside, still mooing on the inside. -JTP ETA correction |
I have to say -1 on the Vodka. I much prefer Finlandia over Stoli
Still looks great! |
Jussi, truly an outstanding dinner pic, now you have made me hungry.
I hate tomatos -1
still a 10/10 since those onion rings look amazing |
10/10 - what kind of beer? Did you batter and fry up the rings yourself or were they a kit?
Four guns, three alcohols... a nice rare steak...
I give it 9 out of 10. We would need to see a nice scantly clad Finnish hottie sharing dinner to make 10 in my book. |
They're from a kit... I "cheated" a bit But the Taste is great And the beer is Karhu beer Served from a "Frozen Glass"... |
Absolute 10!
Is that .22 a CZ? Beauty if it is. I always wanted one of them, just too damn busy spending money on BRD right now |
Nicely done!
10/10 I'd tell You to save some for Me, but it would surely be cold by the time I got there! The Ol' Crew Chief |
.22 is OLD toz-16... Rifle is older than me.. More than 30 years. Still shoots like a charm |
What kind of self-respecting Finn would drink Russian vodka? |
I'd eat it, 10+
You are required to walk 10 paces after a dinner pic |
It's the only vodka I have in my "bar", so... No Finlandia for me today |
That is absolutely a 10. Damn, I always knew the Finns were cool.
While there is much win in this post, I will have to take a 1 point deduction for the pan fried steak. The flames brought forth from hell itself must be licking at my meat, a layer of steel between those two beautiful things cannot be tolerated.
At least it wasn't a Swedish vodka! Does the brand called "Koskenkorva" (not sure about the spelling) still exist in Finland? I remember buying a bottle many years ago, and it was really good! |
Yes, Koskenkorva still exists in here. I personally don't like it very much. It's good with sprite, tho |

-1 for paper napkin. Does anyone have cloth napkins anymore!!!!!???? geeezzzz.
everything else is PERFECT!!!!!!!!! Solid 9. |
Wouldn't it be nice to be able to get that quality of beef in the good ol USA?
If I'm missing a source, feel free to chime in. That looks like that Japanese $20/oz beef there. ETA: I just looked at it again. That beef looks PERFECT! I'm officially hungry for the moo. |
prolly reindeer |
I'll echo the perfect "10" score.
Note to everyone: THAT is how steak is supposed to look. God forbid you slather it in marinade or some other sauces before OR after cooking. |
Great pics however I'm can only give a 9 out of 10 because those steaks look a little crispy on the outside....
Trust me though if you had me over for dinner I wouldn't complain. |
Only thing missing now is the dessert pic with wholesome Valmet goodness.
