Our PM John Howard, announced about 6 hrs ago whats going on, and at the request of Pres Bush we have commited the fol:

- Amphibious Command and Missile launching frigate w/ helo
- some P3 Orions
- Sqn of F18As
- B-707 refulers
- and finally our finest 'who dares' SAS!

In all under 2000 pers, but we are sure this will grow as required. All to be deployed within about 2-3wks.

So from WW1, to WW2, Korea, Viet Nam, Solmolia, plus numerous UN missions, we are with our US Allies again!

Although small in numbers, if everyone puts in some help, there will be lots to go around.

Our PM has warned the public of possible deaths and casualties, but a risk worth taking.

From the early morning hours on 25 April, 1915 on the craggy shores of the Gallipoli Peninula, to the today, on the border of East and West Timor, the spirit of ANZAC exists, now only to be unleashed again, this time in Afghanistan.

Australia will be there. Advance Australia and God Bless America!

Friends in need, are friends indeed.
Thank you.

I saw a travelogue on the local Public Broadcasting System KCET(?) about Australia, and it is a very beautiful country. They traveled the lenght and width Australia via ancient railroads.. These older towns reminds me a lot of the Calif. during the gold rush days.

Just received the following message from some mates!

New Zealand's armed forces are ready

New Zealand Prime Minister Helen Clark announced this morning from the Beehive (NZ Parliment Building) that New Zealand stands shoulder to shoulder with the USA and has pledged that NZ's full military resources will be made available to support the US in its battle against international terrorism.

Here's some of the resources they have to offer....
