Our PM John Howard, announced about 6 hrs ago whats going on, and at the request of Pres Bush we have commited the fol:
- Amphibious Command and Missile launching frigate w/ helo - some P3 Orions - Sqn of F18As - B-707 refulers - and finally our finest 'who dares' SAS! In all under 2000 pers, but we are sure this will grow as required. All to be deployed within about 2-3wks. So from WW1, to WW2, Korea, Viet Nam, Solmolia, plus numerous UN missions, we are with our US Allies again! Although small in numbers, if everyone puts in some help, there will be lots to go around. Our PM has warned the public of possible deaths and casualties, but a risk worth taking. Wanna know more try www.news.com.au 1feral1 Sydney |
