Listening to live radio, and live tv. Four of the Texas seven in custody. One barricaded in a trailer. Pursuit in progress. Two suspects running in a brown conversion van.

These guys are just over the hill from where I am.

Woodland Park schools are locked down. Manitou Springs schools locked down.

FBI and US Marshalls in puruit. FBI has a helicopter up. Live local video and radio is just going nuts.

Confirmed pursuit of a 1975 brown Ford conversion van, leading the pursuit. Two BGs inside. Unconfirmed reports of shots fired from the vehicle.

The SWAT team just fired two tear gas cannisters into the trailer where the fifth guy is held up. Great video.

Further they are not in pursuit. But the van has a temporary license plates, and white curtains.

Reported by local media: Fugitive Larry harper is dead. Don't know who shot him, or if he shot himself.

Local media reporting a Colorado National Guard modilization in Colorado Springs. No confirmation on that yet.

Per live local media:

FBI found these guys because of a phone tip to America's Most Wanted television show. They have been in the Woodland Park area for approximately one week.

Colorado State Hwy 24 closed through Woodland Park by Colo. State Patrol.

In custody:
Rivas, Rodriguez, Garcia, and Halprin.

Reported Dead by gunfire:
Harper.

FBI live press conference:

Harper died of self inflicted gun shot to chest.

Two suspects still at large. Considered armed and dangerous. Van may be brown or maroon in color.

The tip to America's most wanted came in on Saturday.

FOUND THE VAN!

Local radio just reported the van has been found behind a local restaurant called the hungry farmer. The swat team is deploying to search a Comfort Inn next door.

Lt. Skip Arms from CSPD confirms that this is the van used by the Texas Seven. Search warrant being obtained.

Area search being conducted by the SWAT team. Van was found by a local citizen. They believe it has been there since 0600 today. Van was equipped with license plates stolen off another car.

This is less than 1/2 mile from my office. Helicopters everywhere. The local PD only has one. There is a dark colored unmarked one, and a couple of media helicopters from Denver. Its more dangerous flying than walking!

The baker at the restaurant found the van. Saw maps, hair dye in the van. Police see other items through the windows, but won't comment further.

Swat sweeping the area. They think the bad guys are gone, but they're making sure.

Not that they'd steal my junker, but its times like these I'm glad I have a carry permit!

Live press conference going on now. In order to expedite the extradition process, all federal charges will be dropped. To include the weapons charges......

Its not about laws, its about enforcement.

CSPD reports they believe that the fugitives have left the Colorado Springs area.

In addition, a Colorado State Trooper was killed today executing a traffic stop. However they have determined that this was an unrelated incident. Details pending.

I'm not so sure "I" would call it unrelated if it were up to me.

The radio news I heard said the trooper was in presuit of a van similar to the one the Texas scums had. It seems he lost control, probably due to icy conditions, and slammed into a parked semi-tractor rig.

This happened up by Eisenhower Tunnel. The van was latter found at the Keystone Ski area, it was construction workers going to work.

"I" would hang this troopers' death around the necks of the escapies. Again, if it were up to me.

No, they very definently didn't leave the Colorado Springs area.

AP says they are surrounded in a Holliday Inn in a unidentified part of town and the FBI and US marshals service are trying to negotiate a surrender.

If you turn on your local news they should have it, they dont have much else to put on at 3AM

Its official. They got the last two. They were hiding in the holiday inn. They agreed to surrender if they were first allowed to make a statement, give an interview, to a local tv reporter.

The interview was by phone, and the recordings can be found on cnn.com
