No, it's no big deal. If you want to be unprepared for the zombie invasion and don't mind being eaten alive by the living dead then it's no big deal at all.

Both versions are very good they are by far the best of the Zombie movies. The blockbuster near me has both versions I suggest you rent both.

I like zombie flicks, but I figure I have zombie protection covered unless they are the crazy track star zombies.....

In that case I'll probably kill as many as I can and then eat a bullet.

I can't find the original DOTD in any of the stores or on the internet. Dammit! DOTD '04 remake was horrible though. Fast moving zombies? It's just not right!

No where near as good as Night of the Living Dead, which still holds up pretty well. You're not missing much. See the first Romero movie and bag the rest.

'78 original is very good  with a slight amount of cheese.  I own it.

'04 is good  and the quick zombies actually are a bit more disconcerting.  I own it

The black guy who played the SWAT dude in the '78 version also plays a tv preacher in the '04 version.

To be honest, I thought DOTD '04 was even better than the original. Blasphemy, I know.

I thinking running zombies are just a whole lot freakin' scarier than slow ones.
