Any players here?

I always kind of associated it with other burn-out "sports" like hacky sack, but my
buddy convinced me to go and I had a blast!

Fun way to spend a few hours outdoors with your friends and a few frosties.

As an early b-day present, my better half got me a handful of discs to try out.
My brain kind of melted researching all the different attributes on the Innova site.

Kind of like fishing - worst day of play beats the best day of work!

Get ya an Eagle.  Of all the Innova discs, I've come to like how that one flys.  Pretty good for beginners.

I've also found some at Academy (IIRC, Pulsar discs) that have good mechanics.

I've played a few times and it was really fun.

There are a few courses around here that we've been trying to get to but it hasn't worked out.

I'd rather play this then golf IMO.

Disc Golf!? Love it!!

DG is awesome and a challenging sport to play by yourself or in a group. Yeah, it's a stoner-sport, but who cares it's a great game. AND it's CHEAP!

If you ever get bored with the local courses you can always just pick random objects at 100 yards and play wherever the heck you want!

trust me, they are all hard to throw right now...

What kind of course terrain were/are you playing?
The one I've been frequenting is high desert with lots of pine trees.
Most are par 3 - not terribly long but pretty technical.

What's with the "stoner" stigma with disc gold?

I've never associated the two myself.

Haven't you been to Central OR before?
I dunno, didn't it kind of start out of the surf bum culture?
