OK! Magazine Says Britney's New Lover Is A Woman

(CBS) LOS ANGELES Shannon Funk, a one-time assistant to Britney Spears, Tuesday night was served with a subpoena from Kevin Federline’s attorney, Mark Vincent Kaplan, TMZ.com reports.

Funk joins a long list of people being used against Spears in a vicious custody battle.

Since February, Spears, 25, and Federline, 29, have shared joint custody of 23-month-old Sean Preston and 11-month-old Jayden James.

Kaplan said Federline is seeking additional custody because the two boys are "isolated from risks" when they are with his client. He declined to elaborate.

A hearing on the custody modification request is set for Sept. 17.

But Spears -- and Funk -- will undoubtedly be making headlines before that date.

OK! Magazine recently gave Brit a chance to set the record straight -- at Funk’s request -- about all of the controversy surrounding her and instead published the details of a bizarre sit-down with the pop star that was nothing short of a train wreck.

On Friday, a photo of a topless Spears getting a more-than-friendly kiss from Funk will grace the cover of OK! Magazine along with a headline alleging that Funk is Brit's new lover.

While Spears relationship status remains unknown, one thing is certain: Funk will play a key role in the Spears-Federline custody fight.
